Meet Richard....
He came to Lighthouse in
June of 2003. In his time here, Lighthouse has
moved 4 times. While at the elementary
school, he learned how to tow the equipment trailer.
On the second move, to a warehouse, he dealt with his fear
of heights using a scissorlift to help put up the blue tarp
walls. The third move to a 2nd warehouse left him
wondering what else could happen. Then, our fourth
move to the Lighthouse Snow Hill campus showed him what God can
do!
He says he is getting too old for the
stress of birthing a new church, but wouldn't be anywhere
else! He is also known for his, "I have an
idea....," phone calls and his creativity is infamous.
But, even when the dreams or ideas are big, he and others at
Lighthouse find a way to make them happen. He marvels at the
enduring spirit of the people of Lighthouse and finds
great fulfillment in leading
them.
He is married to Donna, a Knoxville
native, who currently is an instructional assistant at Yates Primary
School. He has two children: Elizabeth, a junior at
Cleveland High School and a fourth grader, Richard III, better
known as "R. Lee." They live in Richard's boyhood home
along with two cats named "Gilligan" and "Ginger." Along
with two red-eared slider turtles and two frogs. Life is
good and getting better all the time.
