Is it safe to take two packs of birth control pills in a row, skipping the placebos, to skip a period?
I’m 18, and have been on the pill for 3 years. It would be a real inconvenience to have my period this weekend and would like to skip it using this method. I’ve never done this before and don’t plan to again (in the near future). Is this safe?
You can skip it like that but I wouldn’t recommend doing it more than twice during the course of a year. If you do it more than 2 times in 12 months you drastically increase your chances of having a blood clot. Yikes.
